G-Yachts is proud to introduce Super Yacht Broker Jeroen (Jay) Minnema as a distinguished member of our team. Jay is the newest team member and brings with him over twenty years of yachting experience. Jay is a Dutch national that has called the South of France home for twenty years. He is a polyglot who speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, and some Russian as well as actively learning Chinese. He is a world traveler and has immense yachting knowledge through various life experiences in the industry. From Sales Manager to working onboard a Yacht as Chef Jay continues to expand on his yachting knowledge through every experience.  

Jay has a Bachelor's degree in Information Marketing at the University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam. During his study he sailed on a 40 Meter schooner in northern Germany. After this the beginning of a long career started in 1998 when Jay’s first sales position in yachting was as a Yacht Broker in Holland and later in France. Since then he has worked for four yacht brokerage firms in the Netherlands, South of France, and Monaco as well as a shipyard in Italy. Jay has sold many Motor and Sailing Yachts ranging from 35 to 180 feet and gained experience with new build construction as owner representative and sales manager. He has a keen interest in both interior and exterior yacht design and has worked with various designers over the years to ensure the best possible outcome and most beautiful yacht at the end of the project. His attention to detail has taken him far, being able to provide precise advice and results to his clients. 

Jay has sold many yachts over the years and while each sale is unique two of the highlights in his career up to now are selling the 55 meter Gene Machine in 2013 and the 35 meter Jurata in 2015. During these projects he had the pleasure of working with the team of Tim Heywood, Amels, Francesco Guida and Arcadia Yachts and gained valuable experience working alongside such talented individuals. 

Jay collects certificates and diplomas like others might collect stamps. His various licenses and certifications include but are not limited to, Italian language for the yachting industry, Russian language certificate, Fire Brigade training for search and rescue, STCW, a Power Boat license, VHF License, Security Awareness certificate, Ship Crowd Management, Level 2 Food and Hygiene, Professional French Cooking Diploma, and Extended First Aid 2024. 

In his free time Jay enjoys scuba diving, jogging, sailing, swimming, classic cars, music, playing piano, reading, cooking and meditation. He is an incredible addition to the G-Yachts team.
